Aims of the declaration:
1. Preservation of the Skalenski Lakes as a remarkable site of inanimate nature with significant scientific, historical and aesthetic value and attractiveness for tourists.
Current prohibitions and regimes:
1. It is prohibited construction and installation of movable objects, with the exception of maintenance, repair and reconstruction of existing hydrotechnical facilities at the Skala 1 and Skala 2 dams and other facilities;
2. It is prohibited camping, bivouac, setting up tents, campers and caravans and lighting fires;
3. It is prohibited movement of motor vehicles outside existing roads, including agricultural roads, except in cases of emergency and disaster situations, for maintenance of hydrotechnical facilities and servicing of the "Skala 1" and "Skala 2" dams;
4. t is prohibited use of any watercraft (including surfboards, kites, sports boats and water bikes, etc.) in water areas, except for the performance of official duties by the responsible institutions, conducting scientific research, in emergency and disaster situations, for repair, reconstruction of existing facilities, for maintenance of hydrotechnical facilities and servicing of the "Skala 1" and "Skala 2" dams;
5. it is prohibited complete drying of water bodies when carrying out drainage and irrigation measures;
6. It is prohibited change of purpose and method of permanent use of land properties;
7. It is prohibited the search, exploration and extraction of underground resources and inert materials;
8. It is prohibited entry of domestic animals into water bodies;
9. It is prohibited pollution with any waste.
